It’s Over : Sheriff Stan Sniff’s Top Brass Jump Ship, Now Endorse Chad Bianco

.

8/7/18 – In an amazing move, Captain Leonard Purvis, one of Sheriff Stan Sniff’s closest allies, has turned his back on his boss, and comes out in support of Chad Bianco. Purvis is commander of the Hemet station and former Banning Police Chief. Also supporting Bianco is another Captain, Mathew Jimenez.

Not only Sniff’s deputies, but also the general public are well aware of the draconian methods Sniff has employed against his opponent.

In January, the Press Enterprise reported that Bianco claimed he was ”no longer allowed to wear a uniform, drive a patrol car or respond to calls just because he is challenging Sheriff Stan Sniff in the 2018 election”, (view article here).

“I have zero responsibilities at the (Hemet) station,” added Bianco, who’s endorsed by the Riverside Sheriff’s Association. “I show up to work. I sit in my office, and I wait until it’s time to go home.”

While Sniff constantly whines about budget constraints, he seems to have no problem wasting the productive resources of a Lieutenant, as long as it helps him crush his opponent.

While doing so, Sniff hides behind his deputies, particularly Purvis, referring to the “chain of command” as reason for Bianco’s treatment.

LEAVING THE SINKING SHIP

purvis jumping shipWould Sniff’s top brass come out in Chad Bianco’s support, if he was behind in the polls? Probably not. But Chad Bianco is on his way to victory, and everyone knows it. Sniff’s henchmen are beginning to realize that they are on a sinking ship.

But Purvis also sees first hand that he is being used by a boss who is obsessed with winning – at any cost. He sees how Sniff uses the power of his Department to fight unfairly against his opponent.

As Bianco’s immediate supervisor, Purvis witnesses retaliation first hand on a daily basis, as Sniff orders him to write up Bianco for even the most minute, trumped up violations – for example for not wearing a jacket (in 100 degree heat). Purvis and others must now realize that this cannot continue.

The endorsements show that even the Sheriff’s closest allies realize that Sniff’s war against Chad Bianco can no longer be won – it’s over!  – and yes, sometimes the good guys win…..

.CONCLUSION

BiancoStan Sniff would probably be well advised to disband his campaign and withdraw from the election. Why endure the excruciating pain of the coming election night?

Sniff will be forever disgraced because he didn’t fight fairly. His ship is sinking and his once loyal supporters are defecting to the Bianco camp right and left. Not even his tight connection at the Press Enterprise (Jeff Horseman) can help him now.  He’s done.

Stan Sniff will go into history not only as the worst Sheriff in decades, but also as the ONLY Riverside Sheriff being unseated by the voters in almost a century (1922) !
