Unbelievable : City Openly Promotes District 4 Candidate David Happe In Taxpayer Funded Video

.

9/29/18Mayor George Moyer and interim city manager Rochelle Clayton are meddling in our elections – again!

First they blocked public access to two important videos of council candidate forums, because they declared the forums to be “biased”, without giving any details.

But it just got worse – our city leaders continue to host a promotional video of city council candidate David Happe and his business, “The Station Taphouse” Bar. The video was produced by the City of Banning using 100% taxpayer funds.

At the time of this writing, the video is hosted on the City of Banning’s video channel “BANNING  TV” under the category : “Business Spotlight”  https://banninglive.viebit.com/

Just in case they delete it, we have secured a copy of this video for our readers:

WHY IS HAPPE’S BUSINESS THE ONLY ONE EVER PROMOTED BY THE CITY OF BANNING ?  JUST COINCIDENCE ?

The City of Baniing is home to many successful businesses, most of which are much larger and much more successful than Happe’s 1-year-old bar will ever be.

Taxpayer money was used to promoting now District. 4 candidate David Happe and his business

Taxpayer money is being used to promote District. 4 candidate David Happe and his business

For example, there are highly successful businesses like Precision Material Handling, Burgess North American, Poison Spider or Cruz Tires , to name just a few – but none of them are featured on BANNING TV. Not even a politically connected business like Diamond Hills Chevrolet was afforded a taxpayer funded promotional video. David Happe is the only business owner in Banning lucky enough to receive such support. Why?

Why is David Happe the only one receiving a video on himself and his business? Why is he the only one receiving preferential treatment by our city leaders, funded 100% by the taxpayer?

Haven’t we just heard from the interim city manager just how concerned she is about “bias”? Haven’t we just been told that city assets cannot be used to give an advantage to a particular candidate?

Why is this video, which was produced in 2017, continually being hosted on the  City of Banning video channel, even today, just 38 days prior to the election?

Coincidence – or another plot by master manipulator Mayor George Moyer, who secretly aims at giving an unfair advantage to his candidate of choice?

FOR BIAS, LOOK NO FURTHER THAN GEORGE MOYER

George Moyer : "honorable" Mayor - or deceptive, double-dealing prick?

He’s at it again ! – George Moyer  – “honorable” Mayor – or deceptive, double-dealing crook?

Moyer has openly admitted that he has been frequenting Happe’s business. Sources say this also holds also true for Art Welch. Are we supposed to believe that during these visits, they never talked to Happe about his run for city council? Of course they have.

More importantly, Moyer is said to have been asked by a representative for mega-developer Diversified Pacific, who he would recommend as candidate for District 4. Can we guess what his answer was ? Of course we can. It is David Happe, a new-to-town, unknown bar owner, who Moyer has recruited to the good-ole-boy club.

Today we have confirmation that Diversified Pacific has taken on Moyer’s advice. They have begun to arrange for massive support of David Happe’s campaign and have funded him with over $ 20,000 – so far, (view filing) .

Yes, Moyer and Clayton are at it again. They are using their position to give the Happe campaign an unfair advantage over all other candidates in District 4. They are making sure that a taxpayer funded promotional video continues to be hosted on BANNING  TV, the City’s video channel.

We also have seen that under Moyer’ s ruthless rule of Banning, any videos that show undesired candidates in a positive light get banned instantly, never to be shown again on the city channel.

Incidentally, this also happened to Sun Lakes city council candidate Ed Miller in 2016. Miller had won the debate against Art Welch, hands down. But Moyer wanted Welch to win, so he made sure that the debate never aired again. His official reason: the recording equipment “malfunctioned”. And it worked. Art Welch won the election.

CONCLUSION

The latest episode proves that Mayor George Moyer and Rochelle Clayton continue to meddle in our elections.

Such a video should have never been produced for just one business in the first place ; and at a very minimum, it should have been removed from the City’s video channel, once Happe became a candidate.

Banning must free itself from the deathgrip of these predators. Only Jerry Westholder and David Ellis provide a glimmer of hope for change in a totally corrupt City Hall.
